Walking and driving times are OpenStreetMap routes from each hotel's address to the terminal building, without traffic. Past a 25-minute walk we give the drive instead. Shuttle, package and parking details are from each hotel's own website, read on October 30, 2026. Room rates change daily, so we don't print them: "Check prices" opens the hotel on Booking.com, which pays us a commission if you book. It doesn't change the order of this list.

Brooklyn Motor Inn and The Lodge Red Hook are the only hotels within walking distance of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, 12 and 13 minutes on foot. Red Hook has few hotels. Everything else is a ride, so the table above ranks 15 hotels by measured drive. The other 13 are 12 to 14 minutes away by car, in Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan.

The terminal is at 210 Clinton Wharf, Brooklyn, NY 11231. Hotel details are from each hotel's own website as they read on October 30, 2026. The times are ours, measured on OpenStreetMap to the terminal building without traffic.

Check that your ship uses this terminal before you book. Your cruise documents name it, and some lines use both Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Which hotel is closest to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal?

Brooklyn Motor Inn, at 140 Hamilton Avenue, is a 12-minute walk and a 7-minute drive. The Lodge Red Hook, at 17 Seabring Street, is a 13-minute walk and a 7-minute drive.

The two differ in what they publish:

  • Brooklyn Motor Inn has a page for cruise guests, with walking directions, and lists free secured parking. Its site looks dated, and we couldn't find it on Booking.com, so call to confirm.
  • The Lodge Red Hook charges $25 a night plus tax for on-site parking with in and out, as of October 30, 2026, and serves a free grab-and-go breakfast.

Neither offers a cruise shuttle or package.

Hotels near Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

After Red Hook, the closest hotels by car are in four areas. Each time is without traffic.

  • Gowanus and Park Slope, 12 to 13 minutes. La Quinta Brooklyn Downtown, Hotel Le Bleu, Comfort Inn Prospect Park-Brooklyn (in Greenwood Heights), Tru by Hilton Brooklyn
  • Boerum Hill and Downtown Brooklyn, 13 to 14 minutes. Hilton Brooklyn Downtown, NU Hotel Brooklyn, EVEN Hotel Brooklyn, Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown
  • Brooklyn Bridge Park, 12 minutes. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge
  • Financial District, 13 minutes. Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center, DoubleTree New York Downtown, Holiday Inn Express Wall Street

We left out two Marriott hotels in Gowanus, the TownePlace Suites and the Fairfield Inn & Suites, because Marriott's site blocked our checks.

Can you walk to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal?

From Red Hook, yes. Cruise NYC's directions for bus riders end with a walk of "approximately 4 long blocks to the terminal entrance at Pioneer and Conover streets". Brooklyn Motor Inn sends guests along Hamilton Avenue and Van Brunt Street to Bowne Street.

From anywhere else, no. The next-closest hotel, La Quinta on 3rd Avenue, is a 30-minute walk.

Is Lower Manhattan a good place to stay for a Brooklyn cruise?

It can be, if you want a night in the city. Four Financial District hotels are 13 minutes from the terminal by car without traffic, the same as most hotels in Brooklyn. Keep two things in mind:

  • The drive uses the Battery Tunnel, which charges a toll. Allow more time in traffic.
  • Cruise NYC mentions a NYC Ferry link between Red Hook and Wall Street/Pier 11, which avoids the tunnel. Check the ferry schedule for your day.

These hotels are also 16 to 17 minutes from the Manhattan terminal, which helps if you book before your terminal is confirmed.

Do hotels near the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal have free parking?

Two say so on their own sites, as of October 30, 2026:

  • Brooklyn Motor Inn: "Complimentary Secured Parking"
  • Hotel Le Bleu: limited free parking, first come, first served

Neither says a car can stay while you're at sea, so call before you count on it.

Other published rates on the same date:

  • $25 a night plus tax: The Lodge Red Hook
  • $40 a day: Tru by Hilton Brooklyn, 21 spots, first come, first served
  • $42 a day, valet: Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown
  • $55 a day: Hilton Brooklyn Downtown (valet), EVEN Hotel Brooklyn, DoubleTree New York Downtown
  • $65 a day: Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown
  • $75 overnight: garage next to NU Hotel Brooklyn
  • $90 for 24 hours plus tax, valet: 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

The Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center lists no parking at all.

At the terminal, Cruise NYC lists $45 a night in an outdoor lot at 72 Imlay Street, taxes included, a rate dated April 2023 on its page. The parking guide has the details.

How do you get to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal without a car?

  • By taxi or rideshare. All cars enter at Bowne Street and Imlay Street.
  • By bus. Cruise NYC's route is the B61 from Atlantic Avenue at Court Street, near Borough Hall. Get off at Pioneer and Van Brunt streets, then walk about 4 long blocks.
  • By ferry. The nearest NYC Ferry landing is Red Hook, on the South Brooklyn route.
  • By subway and bus. Cruise NYC's other route is the F train to Smith-9th Streets, then the B77 bus to Conover and Dikeman streets, then about 6 long blocks on foot.

No subway station is close, which is why a hotel a few stops away still means a taxi with your bags.
